Kyrkans Fastighetssamverkan Stockholm AB is a company within the Swedish Church. Our goal is to deliver comprehensive property management and project management expertise to our customers, so that cultural heritage is preserved and other properties are used as efficiently as possible. KFS is the first within the Swedish Church to offer consulting services in the real estate sector. Our customers are parishes and pastorates, but we also have several other clients such as the Swedish State Real Estate Agency and the City of Stockholm. KFS operates over large parts of the country, with emphasis on and around Stockholm, Uppsala and Gävle. Today we have offices in Stockholm, Gävle and Växjö and will also establish ourselves in Skåne. We have a management department as well as a project department with both project managers, construction architects and structural engineers who work together. About the role You will become part of the project management team at the Stockholm office and will collaborate with colleagues in structural engineering, architecture and construction project management. Your role will be to contribute with your structural engineering expertise and experience from working with existing buildings, preferably of older vintage. You work on structural engineering assignments where calculations, drawings and sometimes investigations are a natural part of the tasks. Our assignments almost always concern existing buildings, often with high cultural historical value. You also assist other colleagues with structural engineering questions. Depending on your level of experience, there is an opportunity to manage your own assignments or work together with a responsible structural engineer. Travel for work may occur, primarily in the Stockholm and Gävle areas. Your main responsibilities Perform structural calculations and prepare drawings for construction projects. Adapt and develop structural solutions for renovation projects. Investigate and analyze problems in existing structures, such as cracks, wood rot or deformations. Propose and design measures and follow up on implementation. Contribute structural engineering expertise to the entire organization. Who are you? We are looking for a structural engineer who combines technical expertise and experience with a genuine passion for culturally and historically significant buildings and their long-term preservation. You have sharp analytical skills and work methodically, with an eye for detail. Your thoroughness and solution-oriented approach mean that you tackle technical challenges with both precision and creativity. At the same time, you are a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, where you contribute your expertise and support both colleagues and external partners. We would like to see that you have: A Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Building Engineering Several years of experience as a structural engineer with a focus on existing buildings Experience with calculations and structural drawings for existing buildings as well as new construction Familiarity with CAD environments and experience with 3D modeling in Revit Driver's license category B, as travel for work occurs Good Swedish in speech and writing It is a merit if you also have: Experience with project responsibility Knowledge of the entire construction process Knowledge and understanding of culturally and historically significant buildings and traditional building construction, e.g. masonry and timber structures Knowledge of moisture mechanics Experience with 3D coordination of model files Experience with client contact and collaboration with clients and contractors.
