Siccum was founded in 2021 and has its headquarters in Pajala and a workshop in Luleå. The company is in an exciting growth phase and is now looking for a design engineer who wants to take a central role in the continued technical development. Your Role as Design Engineer As a design engineer at Siccum, you will have an important role in developing the company's machines and systems. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining design documentation and models, and you will be involved throughout the entire development chain – from idea and concept to finished machine. You work closely with management, production, aftermarket, suppliers, and customers. This means you don't just work with CAD and design, but have the opportunity to understand the bigger picture, influence technical solutions, and see how your ideas are implemented in practice. Examples of Work Tasks Design and 3D model freeze-dewatering machines and associated systems Develop, maintain, and improve drawings, design documentation, and technical specifications Drive design and engineering work from concept to finished product Identify technical challenges and develop solutions together with the team Contribute to the development of next-generation machines and systems Collaborate with suppliers, production, and customers Continuously improve and enhance existing designs and products Who Is Siccum Looking For? Siccum is looking for you if you are curious about technology, enjoy solving problems, and want to be part of developing physical products from idea to reality. You are confident in your design expertise and thrive in an environment where there is room to take initiative and make an impact. You have: A degree in mechanical engineering, machine engineering, or equivalent (or work experience that corresponds to this) Experience in design and engineering work within mechanical engineering Good knowledge of 3D CAD, such as Inventor or SolidWorks A strong interest in product and system development A solution-oriented approach and the ability to translate ideas into practical solutions The ability to work both independently and with others It is a merit if you have experience with: FEM, flow simulations, or other types of technical simulations Automation and electrical systems related to mechanical engineering Process industry or other technology-intensive industries Manufacturing and assembly CE marking and machinery directives The most important thing, however, is not that you know everything from the start – but that you have a strong technical drive, are curious, and want to develop together with Siccum.
