Design Engineer - Wiring and Mechatronics at Sensys Gatso

About the Role As a Design Engineer for Wiring and Mechatronics, you will design complex wiring harnesses and create wiring diagrams and electrical schematics, select components, and develop solutions that are integrated into Sensys Gatso's products. You'll also build and test prototypes, evaluate technical components, and contribute to technical documentation. Projects vary in both size and scope, which gives you a varied workday where you can combine design, problem-solving, and practical development work. The work takes place in close collaboration with colleagues from different disciplines. Your immediate team consists of approximately 12 employees, with the majority of the work group based in Jönköping. Examples of Responsibilities: Develop and create design documentation for wiring and electrical systems CAD design in AutoCAD, project and case management in Jira Ensure that the correct components and solutions are selected for different applications Build and verify prototypes for new products and features Plan and develop test solutions that support product development and production Work with bills of materials and component structures for new products Evaluate technical components such as power supplies, heaters, fans, connectors, etc. Adapt wiring and component selection based on requirements for function, environment, and operational reliability Test and quality assure third-party modules and solutions in complete system environments Prepare technical documentation such as manuals and assembly instructions Collaborate with colleagues in R&D, Procurement, Production, and Aftermarket throughout the development process and the entire product lifecycle About Sensys Gatso Sensys Gatso is a global technology company headquartered in Jönköping. Requirements for the Position: Post-secondary education in electrical engineering/electronics/mechatronics/design or equivalent Experience from a similar technical role or substantial practical experience within the field Knowledge of CAD design and experience with design software Understanding of wiring, electrical systems, and technical design Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and spoken Merits for the Position: Experience with wiring harness design, complex wiring, connector selection and raw cable, creating drawings and circuit diagrams Testing of third-party modules that may be included in products Preparing technical documentation Driver's license (Category B) About Framtiden AB At Framtiden, we work with both staffing and recruitment—we want to make a difference in people's lives.
