About the Role As a design engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional development team where you work with cabling, electromechanical solutions, and integration of electrical components. The role combines design, technical evaluations, testing, and documentation, giving you a broad technical day-to-day with many interfaces. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and design cabling, circuit diagrams, and technical drawings. Build and verify prototypes in complete system environments. Evaluate, specify, and select electrical and electromechanical components. Create product structures and BOMs for new products and designs. Integrate external components and technical modules into the company's own solutions. Document designs through, for example, assembly instructions, user manuals, and technical documentation. Participate in the development of test equipment for production, verification, and quality assurance. Ensure correct selection of cable types, connectors, and connections based on requirements for function, environment, and performance. Work closely with colleagues in mechanics, electronics, software, and product development. Projects vary in both size and complexity, offering good opportunities to broaden your technical competence and develop over time. You will collaborate with both internal specialist functions and external contacts and be an active part of the team's joint development work. Your Profile We are looking for someone with a great interest in technology and a natural curiosity about how products and systems work. You enjoy solving problems, are proactive in your work, and appreciate collaborating with others to achieve the best possible results. You do not need to have experience in all areas of the role. The most important thing is that you have a relevant technical background, a few years of experience in the field, and a willingness to continue developing. Requirements for the Position: Higher education in, for example, electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or equivalent competence. Experience from a similar technical role or solid practical experience in the field. Knowledge of CAD design, for example SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent systems. Good understanding of cabling, electrical systems, and technical design. Good skills in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. Meritorious: Experience in cable design including raw cables, connectors, shielding, and ferrites. Previous work with technical component evaluations and supplier products. Experience in technical documentation and creation of instructions or manuals. Electrical training or other relevant technical certification. Knowledge of electrical safety and relevant regulations, for example LVD. Experience with EMC issues and handling of disturbances in electrical systems.
