Lindab Ventilation AB has about 400 employees and is part of Lindab Group. As a design engineer with us, you will be part of a team consisting of four employees. We develop, design, build, and commission machines and press tools for Lindab's production in Grevie. We work closely with operations and have the privilege of seeing our work from start to finish. Key Responsibilities & Areas of Responsibility Develop and design solutions for machine systems and tools for HVAC production. Responsible for creating CAD models, assemblies, and drawings using Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault as work tools, along with complementary documentation for the assignment. Create, dimension, optimize, and select technical solutions in collaboration with the team and technical component suppliers. Create sequence and pneumatic diagrams and describe machine functionality and process flows for electrical automation personnel. Responsible for ensuring machines and technical solutions are safe and meet applicable requirements. Ensure manufacturability, verify designs through calculations and analyses, and compile technical documentation. Instruect and support personnel for machine assembly and commissioning. Troubleshoot new and existing designs during commissioning and production. May be involved in conducting various feasibility studies and technical projects. Your Background We are seeking someone with technical education at the university or bachelor's level, or equivalent experience. You ideally have experience from a technology or manufacturing company. To be considered for the position, you need strong knowledge and interest in 3D CAD and an eye for designing solutions that achieve optimal performance at reasonable cost. Meritorious qualifications include knowledge of project management, hydraulics, vision technology, drive systems, automation and robotics. Experience with stress analysis and calculations using FEM methodology, as well as knowledge of machine safety, is also necessary for the role.
