Rosengren & Nilsson is now seeking an art caster for our production in Malmö. About Us Rosengren & Nilsson Group was founded in 2021 through the merger of two well-established metal foundries: Rosengrens Metallgjuteri (founded 1909) and Vetlanda Gjuteri (founded 2001). Together we combine more than a century of craftsmanship tradition with modern expertise in metal casting. At our art foundry in Vintrie, just outside Malmö, we work with everything from artists and architects to municipalities, churches, and industrial companies. Our products include artworks, bronze and aluminum grave markers, 3D models, and 3D-engraved crystal glass. Each project is unique – and we see every product as a work of art. About the Position As an art caster with us, you become part of a knowledgeable and dedicated production team. We work primarily with casting and processing of bronze and aluminum. Projects vary in both size and complexity, and therefore the work requires both craftsmanship skills and the ability to find practical solutions. You will participate in several stages of the manufacturing process – from preparation and molding to casting, finishing, and the final product. Depending on your previous experience, we will adapt the tasks and introduction accordingly. Your tasks may include Manufacturing sand molds based on models and templates Preparations for casting Melting and casting bronze and aluminum Chasing and cleaning cast objects Cutting, grinding, blasting, and other finishing work Quality and dimensional control during the manufacturing process Maintenance of tools, machines, and the shared work environment Collaboration with colleagues to solve technical and practical challenges Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone who is practical, thorough, and enjoys working with your hands. You take responsibility for your work and understand the importance of quality, safety, and collaboration. Previous experience in foundry work, sand molding, metal processing, or similar craft and industrial production is a merit. The most important thing, however, is that you have the right attitude, a genuine interest in the craft, and a willingness to learn. We believe you will thrive in the role if you: Have good practical and technical understanding Are thorough and quality-conscious Can work both independently and with others Are solution-oriented and not afraid to take initiative Enjoy physical work in a workshop environment Have a clear focus on safety Speak Swedish or English at work A forklift license, overhead crane certification, and experience reading drawings are merits but not requirements.
