Component Engineer
We are now looking for one or more Component Engineers to join our team in Västerås with a genuine interest in technology and electronics.
As a Component Engineer, you ensure that each individual component meets the specified requirements, desired quality, and availability for production. You are responsible for ensuring that the right components are available throughout the product's entire lifecycle. In your day-to-day work, you navigate between technical details and practical problem-solving as you collaborate closely with various parts of the organization, such as project management, procurement, and production. The role therefore involves many contact points both internally and externally. The Component Engineer role suits you if you want to work broadly with electronic components, enjoy diving deep into technical questions, and want to understand the entire supply chain.
In this role, you will work with technical issues related to electronic components and support other functions within the organization and customers in component selection. You monitor components, manufacturers, and technical changes, and maintain contact with suppliers. As a Component Engineer, you handle large amounts of technical data and contribute to the development and improvement of working methods and processes. You work proactively with component strategies, obsolescence management, and alternative solutions to ensure stable and cost-effective production.
We are looking for you with:
relevant post-secondary education, for example in electronics, electrical engineering, engineering physics, robotics, or similar
an eye for detail and the ability to perform work with precision and quality awareness
a good understanding of technical documentation and structured data management
experience from the electronics industry, EMS operations, or product development
negotiation experience and business acumen are advantageous
fluent language skills in both speech and writing in Swedish and English
Do you thrive in a technical environment with a high pace where you can take great responsibility on your own? Then we would like to talk more about the role with you.
Warmly welcome to submit your application! Selection, interviews, and hiring take place on an ongoing basis, so please send in your application today but no later than September 10. If you have any questions, please contact recruitment consultant Julia Öhrberg Nyberg at [email protected] or 073 - 096 18 15. During vacation periods, responses may be delayed, but feedback will be provided as soon as possible.Component Engineer
