Do you want to work with legal matters that impact daily life and make a real difference for children, students, seniors, and residents in Ängelholm? We are now seeking an engaged municipal legal counsel who wants to take on a broad and developmentally rewarding role where legal expertise, operational support, and strategic development come together.
In Ängelholm Municipality, we have broken away from traditional administrative structures and created a modern service organization with so-called main mandates. This means we work agilely, without pretense, and across boundaries to create maximum value for those we serve. With us, you will have significant autonomy and strong confidence to use your professional expertise. To ensure you get the best possible experience in your daily work, you will also have a legal colleague at the central level, which provides excellent opportunities for professional discussion and close collaboration.

WORK TASKS
In your role as municipal legal counsel, you will be an important strategic and operational support to both operations and our managers. The position's focus means you will work with three of our main mandates: Learning and Family, Health, and Municipal Management. You will be physically located with colleagues in the Learning and Family and Health mandates.
Your work tasks span a broad and exciting field where you will, among other things:
Support managers, principals, and case handlers in legal interpretation and administrative action according to the Education Act, the Social Services Act, LSS, and related regulations.
Handle supervision of independent preschools and after-school centers, and manage matters concerning supplementary fees.
Conduct legal investigations, prepare decision documents, and develop municipality-wide policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Write statements and represent the municipality before supervisory authorities such as the Swedish Schools Inspectorate, the Health and Social Care Inspectorate, and the Parliamentary Ombudsman, and if necessary, participate in court proceedings.
Provide advice and conduct internal training initiatives to strengthen the organization's legal security and competence.
Support operations in complex confidentiality assessments and handling of public records.
Our external environment is changing rapidly, and we are on an exciting development journey. You are therefore expected to monitor developments and contribute legal perspectives on matters such as data protection, digitalization, and new ways of working.
