Description Do you want to create communications that engage and deliver content that makes a difference in people's daily lives? Our colleague is moving on to another position in the municipality, and we are now looking for their successor - a communications specialist who wants to continue strengthening dialogue with the municipality's residents, with a particular focus on social media and youth engagement. The Culture and Recreation Department consists of approximately one hundred employees within the areas of culture and recreation. The culture side includes the units Cultural Center, Library, and Music and Cultural School, while the recreation side includes units for Youth Open Meeting Places, Sports Facilities, and Outdoor Recreation. The department ensures that the municipality's culture and recreation activities are conducted in accordance with the municipality's vision and the goals and guidelines decided by the municipal council as well as applicable regulations for the activities. Job Responsibilities Create and publish content for social media, web, and newsletters Drive and develop communications with a focus on young audiences, among other things through Ung i Vänersborg | Vänersborgs kommun Produce photos, films, and simple graphic material Plan, implement, and follow up on communication initiatives and campaigns Support activities with questions regarding communication and participation Work with advertising and visibility in social channels Qualifications Hold a university/college degree of at least 3 years with a focus on communications, or education that the employer deems equivalent. Are a confident and creative content producer who can understand and communicate the activities' content in a way adapted to the target audience. Have experience and a good feel for communication and tone in social media Enjoy and have a strong ability to meet people and create engagement, especially among young people Are self-directed, organized, and collaborate easily with others Are motivated by driving development B driver's license Meritorious: Sitevision – for website work Playipp – for digital information displays Netigate – for surveys and research Meta Business Suite – for managing social media Adobe Creative Cloud – for production of graphic material, photos, and video Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Other Information The contact person is on vacation and available for questions July 27-31 and August 17-21 Initial team meetings are planned for September 1-3 as part of the interview selection process. Background check excerpts will be conducted. Personality testing may be conducted as part of the selection process.
