Do you want to contribute to a sustainable transformation of business and society? As Sweden's research institute, we at RISE work on solutions that make a difference here and now, and with the knowledge areas and technologies that can be crucial tomorrow. Communicating results and benefits from the research and projects RISE conducts is part of our overarching mission to strengthen business competitiveness and enable a sustainable transformation. We are now seeking a communicator to plan, drive, and practically implement communication initiatives in some of our important projects and efforts within the Bioeconomy division, with a focus on agriculture. About us You will join the communications unit at the Bioeconomy division. RISE applies a hybrid work arrangement where employees can split their working time between the office and working from home. You will report to the Communications Manager for the Bioeconomy division and be part of a team with four other communicators. About the role In your role as a communicator, you will work closely with researchers, project managers, business developers, and communication colleagues in your own unit as well as in the central Brand and Corporate Communications department. As a communicator at RISE, you will also collaborate with external partners within our projects, initiatives, and programs. The work involves planning and implementing communication initiatives with a particular focus on project needs and target audiences, and you need to be experienced in driving your own communication projects from start to finish. The role also includes liaising with RISE's external agencies for collaboration on larger communication initiatives. The position is based in Stockholm or Uppsala. You are expected to be on-site in Uppsala at least two days per week. Who are you? You are a relationship-building and results-oriented communicator who thrives in a day-to-day environment with many contact points—both internally and externally—and who is used to managing multiple assignments in parallel. As a person, you are curious and driven by understanding and explaining complex issues. You work with target groups in mind, are motivated by seeing results, and have a strong ability to both follow up on communication initiatives and communicate results back to the organization clearly. You are a good problem-solver, results-oriented, and comfortable quickly establishing contacts and networks. Collaboration and value creation come naturally to you, while you are unpretentious, collaborative, and experienced in working independently. Requirements: Post-secondary education in communication At least five years of experience in strategic communication work Experience and proven track record of driving your own communication projects from start to finish Ability to work independently, in a structured manner, and results-oriented in an environment with multiple parallel assignments and quick decision-making processes Documented experience developing messaging and driving communication activities from idea through implementation and follow-up Strong operational experience with social media, including planning, production, publishing, and follow-up Practical experience with layout and image editing, where you independently produce materials in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop Ability to ensure high visual quality, work according to graphic guidelines, and adapt materials for different channels, audiences, and formats Experience planning and executing events, conferences, and/or trade shows, before, during, and after implementation Very strong Swedish and English proficiency, both spoken and written Meritorious: Experience working in agriculture Experience with photography, film, and editing/cutting We welcome your application!
