Ref: 20261736 Do you want to develop digital communication that makes a real difference? The Employment and Social Affairs Department is undergoing a comprehensive transformation with the goal of making Malmö's social services more accessible to residents. We need to develop how we communicate with Malmö residents, make our digital channels more user-friendly, and ensure that the right information reaches the right target groups in a clear and accessible way. We are now seeking an experienced communicator who wants to help develop our digital communication. We are looking for someone who combines a strategic perspective with an operational approach and is driven by the desire to improve, develop, and create communication that makes a difference. This is a brand new position and you will have a unique opportunity to shape the role from the beginning, together with others in the department. Duties As an experienced digital communicator, you will drive the development of the department's digital communication. Your mission is to develop our digital channels based on user needs and operational goals. You work data-driven and user-centered, translating analysis, target group insights, and communication needs into effective digital solutions. The role involves both driving development and contributing to implementation yourself. You identify areas for improvement, develop processes and content, and produce digital materials when needed. You are equally comfortable analyzing statistics and user behavior as you are visualizing a message or developing a digital concept. You work closely with the department's web manager, social media manager, and other communicators. Together, you develop the department's digital communication where content, user experience, and channel selection work together to create maximum value for Malmö residents. Your duties include, among other things: develop and improve the department's digital communication based on operational goals and user needs analyze statistics, target group insights, and user behavior to identify development opportunities develop content strategies and digital communication concepts for web and other digital channels contribute to the development of user experience (UX), digital accessibility, and searchability plan, implement, and follow up on digital communication initiatives create visual and digital content when required, such as graphics, short videos, illustrations, or other digital formats contribute to developing new working methods and use AI and other digital tools to strengthen communication provide support to departments and colleagues on digital communication matters Qualifications We are seeking someone with a university degree of 180 credits in communications and media studies or equivalent education that the employer deems comparable. You have several years of experience in qualified communication work with a clear focus on digital communication. You have experience developing content for digital channels and solid knowledge of web, user experience (UX), digital accessibility, and search engine optimization (SEO). We would appreciate it if you also have experience with AI-driven search engine optimization (GEO). You have experience using statistics and analysis to develop and improve communication. Experience with Sitevision, Omnia, Office 365, OpenE Platform, and Matomo is a merit for this position. We would appreciate it if you have experience in visual content production, such as creating graphics, video, or other digital formats when needed. However, the most important thing is that you see content production as a tool to contribute to operational goals, not as an end in itself. You have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Good knowledge of English is important for this position. As a person, you are curious, analytical, and development-oriented. You thrive in collaborations, can give and receive feedback, take own initiatives, and have the ability to drive development from idea to implementation. You see the big picture, but at the same time pay attention to details and user experience. About the Workplace The Communications Department is part of the Division of Communication and Digitalization and is responsible for developing and supporting the department's internal and external communication. The department consists of communicators with various specialist expertise in areas such as web, social media, press, change communication, and more.
