Swedish National Grid (Svenska kraftnät) is the authority responsible for the power system in Sweden and manages and develops Sweden's national electricity transmission grid. As a Communications Officer, you will have an important and meaningful job where you will contribute every day to Sweden's electricity supply. About the position The Communications unit within Grid Expansion is part of Swedish National Grid's communications department and is responsible for communications related to the authority's critical infrastructure projects, where we expand and develop Sweden's national grid to meet future challenges. We are 14 employees with broad expertise and a working approach characterized by innovative thinking and a desire to develop how we work. In this role, you are expected to take a comprehensive approach to communications in the grid expansion projects you support—from stakeholder mapping and message development to material production and quality assurance of texts. A large part of the work involves quickly understanding complex contexts and communicating them in a comprehensible way to various external target audiences. You need to be confident in your professional role and act with good judgment even in situations requiring quick decisions or when issues are sensitive for affected stakeholders. Part of your work also involves driving development efforts together with colleagues from different parts of the organization. The role includes many interactions with various expert roles and specialists at the authority and with external actors and stakeholders. We are looking for someone who not only delivers on your own tasks but also contributes to developing the entire unit's communication efforts. The role also means you can serve as a communications officer on standby (KiB). The position involves travel. At the same time, you are confident in your own abilities and find it easy to come up with constructive solutions when needed—both in daily operational work and in longer-term, strategic matters. Other requirements: Post-secondary education in communications or experience that Swedish National Grid considers equivalent At least 5 years of experience as a communications officer Experience in communications work in operations that have had significant impact on the public with the general public as a target audience Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish Meritorious: Experience in communications work at a government agency Experience from organizations operating in the energy sector Experience with Adobe CS package and the web publishing tool EpiServer Good to know The position is located in Sunbyberg.
