You lead the Communications Office, which currently consists of 16 employees, are part of the Municipal Administration's management group, provide strategic support to the municipality's top management and lead the communication coordination arena within the municipal management group. The Communications Office is on a development journey where responsibilities, roles, working methods and organization are being reviewed. The communication operation is decentralized and conducted close to the municipality's various activities. An important part of the assignment is therefore to create common direction and results through collaboration, networks and indirect leadership. The assignment includes leading, coordinating and renewing the municipality's communication work by: developing governance, monitoring and analysis of communication's effects from a municipal-wide perspective strengthening communication's role in leadership, change management and operational development leading crisis communication and overall media work developing working methods, networks and forums for learning that strengthen communicators' professional development promoting knowledge sharing and driving continuous development of communication efforts based on the needs of the operations, target groups and users developing collaboration and common working methods between the municipality's different communication functions to create coordination and implementation capacity strengthening environmental monitoring, target group insights and user focus in communication work Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: relevant academic education for the position some years of current experience working as a manager in a larger organization experience leading strategic communication work at management level or other strategic knowledge-based work in a larger organization very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both spoken and written It is meritorious if you have: experience working close to top management experience managing managers experience leading crisis communication experience working in a politically governed organization experience leading development and creating results through collaboration and indirect leadership in organizations where responsibility, mandate and competencies are distributed among several operations We are looking for a confident and communicative leader who can create direction, trust and results in a complex organization. You are relationship-building and collaboration-oriented. Through dialogue, trust and indirect leadership you bring together people with different perspectives around common goals and contribute to a strong holistic perspective in the organization. You are clear about goals, expectations and frameworks while promoting responsibility, participation and engagement. Furthermore, you are driven by renewal and development.
