Now Boden Artillery Regiment is seeking a Communications Chief to lead this work and make a difference in one of society's most central missions. Here you have the opportunity to be a key person in management and shape Boden Artillery Regiment's future in both a national and NATO context. Communications Department, G9 The Communications Department consists of you and a communications officer. The Communications Chief reports directly to the head of the implementation department, but also reports directly to the regiment commander. Main Duties As Communications Chief, you are responsible for leading the communications service at Boden Artillery Regiment. This includes both internal and external communications. You work with communications from a broad perspective and provide qualified communications support to the commanders of the unit. The role is supervisory with responsibility for coordinating, directing, and following up on communications work, but does not include personnel management responsibility. You make strategic assessments, analyze and propose communications needs, formulate messages, and plan, implement, and follow up on communications initiatives. Work tasks are performed in all environments, both indoors and outdoors and in all weather conditions. Your work tasks include: Providing strategic support within communications to commanders and staff Having overall responsibility for crisis, media, and marketing communications Participating in analysis, environmental monitoring, and evaluation work When needed, coordinating communications with other organizations and authorities Providing support on media matters, formulating messages, inviting media to press conferences Together with the communications officer, producing content for the regiment's internal and external channels Managing the regiment's internal communications channels Managing the regiment's official social media channels REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Academic degree in communications or equivalent competence/education Experience with communications work, preferably in a larger organization Very good ability to handle texts and express yourself in writing in both Swedish and English Good knowledge of photography and image processing Class B driver's license Personal Qualities As Communications Chief at Boden Artillery Regiment, you are comfortable juggling multiple tasks. You thrive switching between independent work and collaboration with others toward common goals. As a person, you are positive, have integrity, and work solution-oriented. The work pace can sometimes be high, so you need to be able to act efficiently and productively even under time pressure, have a structured work approach as well as good administrative ability. You are also not averse to, when required, supporting the communications officer in documenting the unit's activities. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. MERITORIOUS Experience leading processes Experience with communications work in the Swedish Armed Forces or other work in the Swedish Armed Forces that we consider meritorious Experience in crisis communications at an authority or company Good knowledge of graphic design using Adobe software Good knowledge and documented experience in independently producing video Approved grades from military service, alternatively GMU or deployment training OTHER Employment form: Permanent employment. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority. Working conditions usually involve a 40-hour work week, but sometimes occur at irregular times, for example during exercise conditions. The regiment preserves and develops expertise, equipment, and methods for future capability to detect and hit targets at long range and with high precision. A 8 has functional responsibility for CAS (Close Air Support) - directing air support against ground targets and for meteorological services within the Army in the Swedish Armed Forces.
