Communications Department, G9
The Communications Department consists of you and one communications officer. The Communications Chief reports directly to the head of the implementation department, but also reports directly to the regiment commander.
Main Responsibilities
As Communications Chief, you are responsible for leading the communications service at Boden Artillery Regiment. This encompasses both internal and external communications.
You work with communications from a broad perspective and provide qualified communication support to the commanders of the regiment. The role is supervisory with responsibility for coordinating, directing, and following up on communications work, but involves no personnel management responsibility. You make strategic assessments, analyze and propose communication needs, formulate messages, and plan, implement, and follow up on communication initiatives.
Work tasks are carried out in all environments, both indoors and outdoors and under all weather conditions.
Your responsibilities include:
Providing strategic support in the communications area to commanders and employees
Having overall responsibility for crisis, media, and marketing communications
Participating in analysis, environmental monitoring, and evaluation work
When needed, coordinating communications with other organizations and authorities
Providing support in media matters, formulating messages, inviting media to press conferences
Together with the communications officer, producing content for the regiment's internal and external channels
Responsibility for the regiment's internal communications channels
Responsibility for the regiment's official social media channels
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Academic degree in communications or equivalent competence/training as we assess it
Experience in communications work, preferably in a larger organization
Very good ability to handle texts and express yourself in writing in both Swedish and English
Good knowledge of photography and image editing
Class B driver's license
Personal Qualities
As Communications Chief at Boden Artillery Regiment, you are comfortable juggling multiple tasks. You thrive with switching between independent work and collaboration with others toward common goals. As a person, you are positive, have integrity, and work in a solution-oriented manner. Work pace can sometimes be high, so you need to be able to act efficiently and productively even under time pressure, have a structured work approach as well as good administrative ability. You are also not unfamiliar with supporting the communications officer in documenting regiment activities when needed.

MERITORIOUS
Experience leading processes
Experience in communications work in the Armed Forces or other work in the Armed Forces that we consider meritorious
Experience from crisis communications in a government agency or company
Good knowledge of graphic design with Adobe software
Good knowledge and documented experience in independently producing moving images
Approved grades from military service, alternatively GMU or basic training
OTHER INFORMATION
Employment form: Permanent employment. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the agency.

Work involves some domestic business travel and occasionally overnight stays. Working conditions usually involve a 40-hour work week, but sometimes occur at irregular times, such as during exercise conditions.
To meet the Armed Forces' requirements for physical standards, physical training is included as part of your work tasks.

Boden Artillery Regiment, A 8, is the Armed Forces' center of excellence for indirect engagement. The regiment preserves and develops competencies, materiel, and methods for future capability to detect and hit targets at long distances and with high precision. A 8 has functional responsibility for CAS (Close Air Support) - directing air support against ground targets and for weather services within the Army in the Armed Forces. Combat in winter conditions is a special competency for the regiment in Boden.
