We are looking for an experienced leader within the communications field. You are confident in your competence and we would like to see that you have worked with communications at a management level in larger organizations with different target audiences. You are a generalist rather than a specialist and interested in staying at the forefront of development. Environmental scanning is a natural part of your way of working.
The Communications Department is one of nine departments within the university's shared administration. The administration is responsible for service, management, and coordination of the university's common and overarching matters. The University Director is the head of university administration, who together with the Head of Communications and other department heads form the administration's management group. The administration is on an exciting journey, where the focus is on developing and implementing new, efficient, and cross-functional working methods. By reviewing and improving our shared processes, we strive to create a more efficient and innovative work environment that can meet the challenges and opportunities of the future.
The Communications Department works strategically and operationally to highlight Linnaeus University's education, research, and collaboration through, among other things, student recruitment, research communication, and internal communication. The department's two sections support the university in the work of establishing, developing, and strengthening relationships internally and externally, both regionally and nationally and internationally. The assignment includes disseminating and highlighting good results and thereby inspiring the development force among employees and students.
The path toward open science requires active development of communication about our education, research, and collaboration. Our ability to put knowledge in motion for sustainable societal development requires external and internal communication of high quality. The university's communications work is of great importance in highlighting the academic qualities of the organization, and it contributes to the formation of dynamic knowledge environments, strengthened reputation, and increased attractiveness.
