We are now looking for a Municipal Director who, together with the political leadership and organization, wants to lead the municipality forward in a time that encompasses both change and new opportunities. Job Description As Municipal Director, you are the municipality's leading official and directly subordinate to the Municipal Executive Board. You are responsible for translating political decisions into operations and results, and you lead and coordinate the municipality's departments. In your role, you are head of the municipality's department heads, CEO of Lysekil Stadshus AB and head of the Municipal Executive Office. In close collaboration with politics, the organization and external actors, you lead the municipality's strategic development with a focus on quality, efficiency and long-term sustainability. You create clear conditions for governance and prioritization, with balance between operations, finances and long-term needs. You drive work in line with Vision Lysekil 2030 and the Municipal Assembly's goals where collaboration and continuous development are guiding principles. The assignment also involves representing the municipality in various contexts and being a clear and outward-facing ambassador for Lysekil Municipality. You understand the value of regional collaboration, see its strategic importance and build trustworthy, long-term relationships both internally and externally. Lysekil Municipality collaborates with neighboring municipalities in Bohuslän in areas such as environment, IT, payroll administration, emergency services, and waste and recycling. The role requires a broad societal perspective and a good understanding of the municipality's overall mission. The assignment also includes handling issues related to crisis preparedness and civil defense, as well as contributing to good conditions for a strong business sector and a continued attractive municipality. Qualifications You have a relevant academic degree for the role and several years of management experience at a strategic level. You have led other managers and have had responsibility for operations, finances and personnel. To succeed in the role, you need to have experience in financial and operations management, as well as experience of working in a politically governed organization and of collaboration with political representatives and union representatives. You have the ability to lead in complex contexts, make well-founded and objective decisions, and contribute with strong analytical skills, holistic thinking and very good communication skills. As a leader, you are confident, clear and development-oriented, with the ability to create engagement and participation. You act with humility, respect and attentiveness and build trustworthy relationships both internally and externally. You contribute to creating legally secure and equivalent processes. You create structure and stability even in times of change and create a good collaborative climate where dialogue, collaboration and shared direction are a natural part of the work. We place great importance on personal suitability. The role requires you to have a very good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing in Swedish. The position is placed in a security classification and security vetting will be conducted before employment according to the Security Protection Act. Category B driver's license is a requirement.
