The position of Municipal Archivist belongs to the Management Support Department within KLF. The department is divided into two units: the Investigation and Municipal Archive unit and the Office unit. You will become part of the municipal archive, a team consisting of two municipal archivists and an archive assistant. Our analog archive and our e-archive contain archival materials from a large number of committees and operations that have been active in the municipality. Together, the archives tell the story of Enköping's development and the lives of its residents from the 1700s to the 2020s.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to contribute to lawful, transparent, and efficient information management in a municipal operation? Do you thrive in a role that includes development, consultation, strategies, and operational archive work? Then this might be the position for you.
As a Municipal Archivist, you will be involved in all of the municipal archive's work areas, which includes, for example, official duties, consultation, strategic and practical archive work.
You will also be involved in work with both the existing e-archive and the project to procure a new e-archive. The new e-archive is intended to be implemented during 2027.
The municipal archive's analog archival holdings of approximately 2,500 shelf meters are temporarily stored in a depot in Upplands-Väsby. The depot is managed by a contracted supplier. Retrievals and certain other archive management are performed at the request of the municipal archive's staff. Travel to Upplands-Väsby may occur, though currently this has only been a few occasions per year.
Your work tasks include, among other things:
· providing advice on archive and information management,
· handling the release of public documents and conducting confidentiality assessments,
· supervising and controlling that committees comply with the requirements of the Archive Act,
· receiving analog and digital archives from the municipality's committees,
· working with strategic information management issues, for example developing/updating municipal guidelines/instructions within the archive field,
· performing certain cataloging work, and
· participating in developing the municipal archive's processes and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
· an academic degree in archival science or other education that the employer deems equivalent
· experience working in public archive operations
· relevant knowledge of public access and archive legislation
· very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is advantageous if you have:
· knowledge of e-archives,
· experience working with large archival collections, and
· a B-class driver's license.
To succeed in this role, you are confident in your professional role and have the ability to make well-founded decisions even in complex situations. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive work forward with your own initiative. You have a good ability to plan, prioritize, and organize your work in an efficient manner.
