About the Operations
Your employment will be in the Elementary School Administration's central organization for Food Services, Facilities Management, and Maintenance, which is divided into 13 areas with one area manager per region.
Your placement will be in area 2 at Bodaskolan. Bodaskolan is an F-9 school with approximately 800 students where we prepare and serve 1,200 portions per day including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and also packed lunches for nearby schools. You will lead a team on-site consisting of 8 employees, but the total staffing strength is 13 employees as we also have kitchen facilities at 3 preschools in the surrounding area. You are expected to perform all work tasks that occur in the kitchen.

Qualifications
You should have a three-year upper secondary culinary education or apprenticeship training as a cook. You have documented experience from restaurant or large-scale kitchen work, for example from preschool or school. We would like to see that you have kitchen manager training and/or experience in staffing planning and team leadership. It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience with the food data program Matilda, e-commerce in Agresso, and Office 365. Since the position consists of both documentation and communication, you need good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Since we place great importance on the food we prepare being good, nutritious, environmentally and climate conscious, and safe in terms of hygiene and special diets, it is important that you have high quality awareness. As a person, you have a clear focus on the big picture and have the ability to structure your work both independently and with others. You have no problem making reprioritizations and making decisions in unforeseen situations. You will meet many people during your workday, and therefore it is important that you have a positive approach to those around you and a service-oriented attitude. As a person, you are thorough and comfortable working on multiple tasks simultaneously in a changing operation. Together we create conditions for staff and children's experience of safety and academic focus.
Job Responsibilities
As a kitchen manager, you will be responsible for team leadership, staffing, hiring temporary staff, scheduling, and overall coordination. You are responsible for purchasing food through e-commerce. You also prepare, plan, and prepare together with other kitchen staff daily good and nutritious food as well as special diets from scratch for small and large guests based on a centrally planned menu in the food data program Matilda. You instruct newly hired employees, communicate information to kitchen staff and to the receiving operations.
Together with other kitchen managers in the organization and the area manager, you actively work on change and development of our operations. Environmental and sustainability issues are important to us, and we want you to share that commitment.
