The Vänersberg Operations Area consists of two facilities in Vänersberg and one detention facility in Uddevalla. Östragård Facility is an open prison with capacity for 192 inmates. Brinkeberg Facility is a closed prison with capacity for 144, and Uddevalla Detention Facility has 57 places. Production kitchens currently operate at Östragård Facility, Brinkeberg Facility, and Uddevalla Detention Facility. We are now seeking a kitchen assistant for the production kitchen at Östragård Facility. Job Duties As a kitchen assistant at our facility, you will be part of a work team with a kitchen manager and cooks. In the production kitchen, you will perform varied tasks such as salad preparation, some cooking, receiving goods, transporting meals, packing raw materials for breakfast and evening meals, performing self-checks in accordance with applicable regulations, cleaning, and dishwashing. Work is carried out in cooperation with staff in other functions. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is calm, stable, and has self-awareness. You remain composed and controlled in stressful situations and work well with others. You have good judgment and take responsibility for your tasks. We are looking for someone who has: Restaurant or institutional catering education at upper secondary level, or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish Class B driver's license It is advantageous if you have: Experience working in a large-scale kitchen/restaurant Experience from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to remove the cover letter and replaced it with selection questions relevant to the position.
