Cook/Meal Service Staff 50% at Strömnässkolan Kitchen

Are you our new team member at Strömnässkolan kitchen? We're looking for someone who enjoys providing excellent service, serving high-quality meals, has strong collaboration skills, and has experience working in a kitchen. You will work closely with your colleague and rotate between different tasks. In addition to kitchen work, daily cleaning of the school's dining hall is included. Strömnässkolan kitchen is a finishing kitchen that serves breakfast, lunch, and snacks. The school has just over 160 students. Job Responsibilities Your duties include finishing and serving the day's various lunch options, preparing and serving breakfast and snacks. A varied and seasonally adapted salad buffet, side dishes, and alternatives adapted for children with special dietary needs are prepared daily for lunch. When planning and preparing the salad buffet, breakfast, and snacks, you have room to use your creative side and vary the offerings. You will be responsible for safe food handling, self-inspection, good hygiene, dishwashing, and cleaning in the kitchen. The position also includes ordering food from the production kitchen and ordering goods through the municipality's e-commerce system. In addition to food and dairy products, cleaning supplies, disposable materials, chemicals, etc. are ordered. You have restaurant education at upper secondary level or equivalent education that the employer finds appropriate and/or documented experience as a cook or meal service staff in a large-scale kitchen or restaurant. Sufficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, for safe handling in a large-scale kitchen. Good knowledge of computers and the programs used in the work is advantageous, as is experience with cleaning. Kitchen work is physically demanding and sometimes heavy work, and therefore requires good physical fitness. You have good knowledge of: Finishing/preparation Raw materials Special diets Hygiene and self-inspection Large-scale kitchen equipment Ergonomic work Personal Qualities We're looking for someone who finds it rewarding to meet people, who is cheerful and positive, and whose goal is to provide good service to our customers. You are flexible, responsible, and willing to help where needed. You enjoy having a colleague to collaborate and discuss matters with.
