Do you want to be part of developing school meals in Lunds Municipality? Meal Services is seeking two chefs with experience in specialized diets for Fäladsgården Kitchen and Vikingaskolan Kitchen. You will work together with colleagues to contribute to a meal service operation characterized by quality and excellent service to our guests. About the role and your responsibilities As a chef, you will plan, prepare, cook, and organize the daily work together with your entire work group. As much food as possible is prepared from scratch using quality ingredients with a focus on health, climate, and sustainability. Specialized diet cooking and planning is an important part of the work. Together with your colleagues, you will also actively participate in developing the school restaurant's offerings and planning operations for satisfied meal guests. The work also includes participating in all tasks that arise in the kitchen. It goes without saying that you provide excellent service and contribute to creating a good meal experience for our guests in the school restaurant. We are looking for you We are looking for someone who has completed a three-year restaurant and food program or a chef education that the employer deems equivalent. You have several years of experience working as a chef and handling specialized diets. You must be experienced with self-control procedures. If you have also completed specialized diet training and have experience working with nutritional database systems, we consider that an asset. To thrive in this role, it is important that you are flexible in your work, can work independently, and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You also have good teamwork skills and are humble and accommodating in your interactions. You have an interest in helping others as part of a team, sharing your knowledge, and staying current in your field of expertise. You must be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and a requirement is that you have good computer skills. Fäladsgården is a grades 7-9 school with approximately 500 students. The kitchen also prepares meals for 16 other receiving units that are sent out hot. In the kitchen work one coordinator, three chefs, and three kitchen assistants. Vikingaskolan Kitchen is a grades 4-9 school with approximately 350 students. The kitchen also prepares meals for elderly care that are packed and then sent cold to the various elderly care facilities within Lunds Municipality. In the kitchen work one coordinator, four chefs, and eight kitchen assistants. The Service Administration meets the needs of Lunds Municipality's other administrations and municipal companies for services. We have approximately 600 employees. Together we work to build and maintain the municipality's buildings, facilities, and housing, and ensure that they are whole, clean, and functioning as they should. We prepare meals for the municipality's children, youth, and elderly, we take care of green areas around the municipality's buildings, and we manage the municipality's vehicles and transportation.
