The Social Services Administration in Stockholm City has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and the disability sector. Here we create good conditions for meeting residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, lawful, equal and knowledge-based social service and we have a strong development focus. Within the administration, a wide range of support services are offered to the city's residents and the range changes based on Stockholm residents' needs and district administrations' wishes. The work often takes place in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society and the business sector. The Social Services Administration is also responsible for the city's catering and tobacco licenses and performs supervision. Chef at Support Housing Ljungbacken Welcome to us We are looking for a dedicated and passionate chef who wants to help create great meal experiences for our users at Support Housing Ljungbacken. Ljungbacken is a sober and drug-free support housing facility in Åkersberga that is staffed 24 hours a day. The operation consists of three buildings with a large garden and proximity to nature and recreation. Good transport connections are available with a bus stop only about 100 meters from the housing facility. Ljungbacken is part of the Housing Unit and has the mission to support individuals' path out of homelessness. Our users are women and men who, due to homelessness, harmful substance use, mental illness or other social difficulties, need support and help in daily life. The operation has 26 places. Job Description At Ljungbacken there is an in-house kitchen where most of the food is prepared from scratch. The kitchen is responsible for lunch and dinner as well as afternoon and evening snacks. As a chef with us, you work Monday–Friday 08:30–17:30 and are responsible for: Planning and preparation of lunch and dinner. Ordering groceries and other goods for the kitchen. Preparation of nutritious, varied and delicious meals. Handling of special diets based on individual needs. Cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen according to applicable procedures. Self-inspections and documentation according to food legislation and applicable guidelines. We are looking for you who love to cook and who see the meal as an important part of people's wellbeing. You work independently, in a structured manner and have a good ability to plan, organize and prioritize your work. You have good collaboration skills, are responsive in encounters with other people and enjoy cooperating with different professional groups within the operation. Qualifications We are looking for you who have: Chef training. Current experience of working in large kitchens. Experience and competence in preparing nutritious and varied meals as well as special diets. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Meritorious It is meritorious if you have: Experience meeting people with harmful substance use and/or mental illness in a respectful and dignified manner. Experience from work in healthcare, care or social services. Personal qualities We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You are responsible, service-oriented and have a genuine interest in cooking. You contribute to a positive work environment and see the value in creating meals that provide both nutrition and food pleasure.
