Meal Service is our youngest operation within Nyköping municipality but also one of our most important initiatives and investments. Meal Service is responsible for meal operations in schools, preschools, and elderly care. Our vision is to create Sweden's best Meal Service for our guests and we do this through excellent service and good, sustainable and healthy meals!
Meal Service operates approximately 70 kitchens and delivers around 10,000 portions daily with the help of our 170 employees, including chefs and meal service assistants.

DUTIES
At Meal Service you have the opportunity to be part of the journey towards Sweden's best public meal service! Here you prepare meals for the world's most important guests, namely children, young people, and the elderly. You contribute to serving good, sustainable and healthy meals every day, following our nutrition policy and Meal Service guidelines. You work with good kitchen economy where high quality and the guest are in focus.
At Meal Service you work daytime hours and have the opportunity for professional development through internal training in food hygiene, special diets and allergies, environmentally smart food and much more.
Your duties include meal preparation, meal service, daily interactions with guests, daily reporting, operating kitchen equipment, dishwashing, cleaning, and salad preparation. You participate in planning and procurement and work to reduce food waste at all levels while following established procedures. You will work both independently and as part of a team.
QUALIFICATIONS
You who are applying have:
· Chef training or experience that the employer deems equivalent
· Good Swedish language skills in speaking, writing and reading comprehension (as you will handle special diets, recipes, etc.)
· Good computer skills
We see it as a positive if you have:
· Worked in a restaurant or large kitchen
· Experience with meals in public sector operations
· Driver's license and access to a car
