Meal Service needs to strengthen the organization with chefs for our personnel pool. Here at Meal Service Meal Service prepares and serves approximately 7,000 meals each day to preschools, primary schools, upper secondary schools, elderly care, home care services, and daily activities. We are also responsible for the café operations in the city hall where we serve breakfast and lunch to city hall employees and elected representatives. In addition to daily operations, we handle catering orders and arrange, among other things, the city's popular Christmas buffet for employees. We always strive to choose the best raw materials and create meals that are nutritious, delicious, sustainable, pleasant, integrated, and safe. Our work is based on the National Food Agency's meal model and the city's meal policy. Through active self-control work, we ensure that we comply with food legislation and work systematically with quality and safety. We also continuously work to reduce our environmental impact by increasing the proportion of vegetables and reducing the use of food with high climate impact in accordance with national recommendations. The Personnel Pool Our personnel pool has four chefs and four kitchen assistants who replace our staff in the kitchens when someone is absent. We now need to strengthen the team with more chefs. As a chef with us, you work together with chefs and kitchen assistants in one of our kitchens. You are responsible for preparing delicious, nutritious, and sustainable meals and contribute to the kitchen functioning well through close collaboration with your colleagues. The assignment also includes other common tasks in a large-scale kitchen, such as goods receipt, unpacking goods, ordering, self-control, dishwashing, and cleaning and sanitation. You have a base kitchen that is your regular workplace. If needed, you replace a colleague during absence and will be notified the same morning or the day before. You may be placed in the same kitchen for one or more days, depending on the operation's needs. To ensure a well-functioning operation, it may also occasionally be necessary to work as a kitchen assistant in one of the kitchens. We are looking for you with work experience from restaurants or large-scale catering. We want you to have chef training or equivalent education with several years of work experience as a chef and you must have solid experience in cooking. Knowledge of food allergies and diets is desirable and it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of self-control, and it is meritorious if you have HACCP training. You must be able to communicate well in Swedish both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of the cost data program Mashie is a great advantage as this is our tool in purchasing, ordering, cooking, and distribution to our serving kitchens.
