Description Meal Service is part of the Service Department and has approximately 120 employees across 43 kitchens. Together we prepare and serve meals to children in preschool, students in school, and elderly residents in care facilities. We prioritize locally produced, Swedish, and organic products in our procurement, and we work according to sustainable production practices. As a chef in meal service, you will work in an operation where we have a strong appreciation for quality meals, good service, and great care with the meals we serve to our guests in preschool, school, and to our elderly. You will report to the responsible unit manager. Job Responsibilities As a chef, you are responsible for planning, procurement, preparation, and serving of meals. We see that you have good IT skills as you will work with orders and registrations in a food database program. Your responsibilities include daily kitchen production and responsibility for self-inspection, internal administration, and other relevant tasks in the dining area together with the team. About the Workplace: Production kitchen serving approximately 1,600 portions for preschools, schools, and elderly care. We are a team of about 14 employees responsible for this organization with a varied schedule including weekend work. Qualifications We are looking for you with experience in food, meals, and service for those we serve! You have great commitment and professionalism in your profession! You are a chef with relevant education from restaurant/institutional catering programs or experience from work in large-scale kitchens/restaurant kitchens that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience with food preparation and production in large-scale kitchens and good knowledge of HACCP. Good IT skills and experience with the food database program Matilda are advantageous.
