Here you have the opportunity for development and new bold ideas. The Food Service Unit in Gnosjö has over 30 employees working in our eight production kitchens and five distribution kitchens. Staff and the various kitchens are divided into two different teams with team leaders as immediate supervisors. The team leaders, together with the food service director, form the food unit's management group. We are looking for someone who is driven, sees opportunities instead of obstacles, and is flexible. In addition to working with food quality, we strive to improve the overall experience for our guests in collaboration with school and care staff. At Rosendals Care Home, we have one of our largest production kitchens that serves approximately 900 meals on weekdays to residents, for delivery to elderly people in their own homes, and to Bäckaskolan 7–9 and GKC upper secondary school. Together with the facility's staff, we work to develop the experience at Restaurant Rosen, for example through grill nights and other themed evenings. The Food Service Unit in Gnosjö Municipality has been named Municipality of the Year for Sustainable School Meals two years in a row by White Guide Junior, which we see as recognition for the work we do and the value we create for our guests and the municipality. 1 position(s). DUTIES You will work as a cook in a large kitchen and be part of a well-functioning team. Your work includes: • Planning and preparing meals • Preparation and assembly of salad buffets • Preparation of special diets • Ordering supplies • Conducting self-inspections • Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations • Service and customer care The work includes working two out of seven weekends, and the average work week is 37 hours. As a cook, you will have good opportunities to develop within the Food Service Unit in Gnosjö Municipality. We have active development and quality work with a strong focus on sustainability. We work closely with our guests on dietary advice and develop our professional skills together. QUALIFICATIONS We see that you have a diploma from upper secondary school's hotel and restaurant program/equivalent formal education and/or experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have a genuine passion for cooking, are creative, and want to develop meals and the meal environment for our guests. You are flexible and see opportunities instead of obstacles. You are driven, take initiative, and are a good team player. You put the guest at the center and have the ability to organize daily work. You have a driver's license (category B) and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. As a person, you are calm, flexible, independent, can make quick decisions, and drive work forward. In your work, you are prepared to take responsibility and deliver high quality at a fast pace. Food and cooking are close to your heart, and you share the view that meals are an important part of everyday life. We would like to see that you have good, documented experience working in large kitchens. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Employment form: Permanent employment.
