Chef for Hotel

Best Western Hotel City Gävle is a comfortable hotel in an excellent city center location next to Gallerian Nian and Stortorget. The hotel has 135 fresh rooms. The hotel also features conference facilities, gym, children's play area, sauna, relaxation area, restaurant, and bar with full beverage licenses. We are now looking for a chef for our evening restaurant / lobby bar to prepare classic Swedish home cooking and a simple à la carte menu. In our kitchen you will work independently and your working hours are scheduled for evenings, both weekdays and weekends. We believe you are a positive person who enjoys working independently and you have a genuine interest in preparing what we would call everyday "home cooking". We are looking for someone with previous experience in cooking, perhaps over several years at home, in a large kitchen, or in some other type of kitchen. We do not require formal chef training, but equivalent education or experience in the field is welcome. Collaboration is something we value highly and we see it as a given that you have good teamwork skills and that you are flexible with both work tasks and working hours.
