Your Role As a chef, you are responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen and ensure that children are offered delicious, nutritious, and well-balanced meals. You plan, prepare, and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks with a focus on quality, taste, and nutrition. In this role, you work independently with the entire kitchen operation, from menu planning and ordering to budget monitoring and quality control. You are responsible for special diets and allergy-adapted meals and ensure that food handling complies with applicable laws and guidelines. The work also involves actively contributing to the municipality's sustainability efforts through conscious food choices and reducing food waste. You have many important contact points in the organization and collaborate with colleagues to create a safe, pleasant, and positive mealtime environment for the children. Your Knowledge and Experience We are looking for someone who has: Chef training or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. At least three years of experience working as a chef or in similar operations. Strong knowledge of cooking, nutrition, and meal planning. Experience with special diets and allergy-adapted cooking. Experience with purchasing, ordering, and budget responsibility. Good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, that meets the organization's requirements. Class B driver's license and access to your own car. To succeed in this role, you need to be responsible, organized, and flexible. You enjoy working independently while having good collaboration skills and contributing to a positive work environment.
