More than 2,200 secondary school students meet here every day in central facilities. The school offers Umeå's largest selection of programs and provides high-quality education in numerous areas. We are now looking for a cook! Your responsibilities Lead and plan kitchen/school restaurant work so that it functions satisfactorily in accordance with the municipality's goals, operational plan, meal concept, and policy documents. Use resources with high cost awareness and actively work to balance the unit's budget. Prepare safe, nutritious food of high quality. Order food and supplies in accordance with applicable agreements. Work service-oriented and address those we serve. Responsibility for the shared work environment. Other tasks that may occur by agreement include authorization to process invoices according to a list, hire temporary staff for a certain period, and follow self-inspection procedures. Heavy lifting occurs in the workplace. About you We are looking for someone with a cook's education or work experience deemed equivalent. We also see that you have experience working as a cook in large kitchens. You also have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. In your work, you enjoy taking responsibility and bringing forward initiatives for improvements. Of course, you have a genuine interest in food. You have good communication skills since collaboration with colleagues, children, and school teachers is part of the role. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Due to the Act on Suitability Screening, a criminal record extract must be presented upon employment, as the position is located at a school. We welcome your application!
