Job Description
As a chef at Nyköping Institution and Detention Facility, you will work in the institution's main kitchen and be part of a team. The duties consist of typical large-scale kitchen tasks such as planning, preparation, and cooking of lunch and dinner.
As a chef, you will primarily prepare lunch and dinner for inmates at the institution and detention facility, as well as lunch for the staff restaurant. Preparation of special diets and other customized meals occurs. Cleaning of kitchen premises, dishwashing, and self-inspections in accordance with applicable regulations are part of the duties. Cooperation with staff in other departments is a natural part of the work. Minor administrative tasks may occur. Staff work on a rotating schedule that includes weekend shifts.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is reliable, stable, and self-aware. You are calm and composed in stressful situations and collaborate well with others. You have good judgment and take responsibility for your tasks.

We are looking for someone who has:
Restaurant or large-scale institutional kitchen education at upper secondary level, or other relevant education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
It is also advantageous to have:
Experience working in a large-scale kitchen
Experience with self-inspections
Experience preparing special diets
Relevant language skills
