Your Role as a Temporary Chef Your assignment as a temporary chef is to actively create joy and curiosity around food. In your work, you stimulate children's interest in flavors and ingredients, making mealtimes a daily highlight. You contribute to shaping children's future healthy attitudes toward food, environment, and wellbeing. You may be offered work as a chef for a monthly temporary assignment, ranging from approximately 1 to 6 months. The assignment will be at one of the municipality's 52 preschools, either in Lund city or in one of our villages: Dalby, Veberöd, Genarp, Torna Hällestad, Södra Sandby, or Revingeby. We will place great importance on matching your competence to the role at the specific preschool. About You We are looking for someone who is a trained chef and has worked as a chef for at least two years. You have documented experience handling special diets and are familiar with self-inspection (HACCP). You must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have experience managing digital ordering and existing administrative systems. If you have less than two years of kitchen work experience, you can still apply, but will initially be employed as a meal assistant. Chef in Schools Since the role of chef involves daily interaction with both children and staff, it is crucial that your interest extends beyond food, environment, and health. You must also value and engage in the children's development and the preschool's pedagogical work. As a person, you are creative and take initiative, demonstrate responsibility in your work, and have a natural ability to build strong, positive relationships.
