OHS Coordinator with a focus on occupational health and safety for Distribution Networks Would you like to work close to operations and make a real difference in occupational health and safety work? We are now recruiting an OHS Coordinator with a focus on occupational health and safety for the Distribution Networks department at Circulation and Water. A workplace where occupational health and safety really matters. Description Distribution Networks is responsible for delivering drinking water to Gothenburg and safely and sustainably managing wastewater. The operations include operation, maintenance, and development of distribution networks, pump stations, and technical facilities throughout the city. This is a large and dynamic workplace with approximately 145 employees and 16 managers. Work takes place both in the field and in technical environments where occupational health and safety considerations are a natural and important part of daily operations. We are now strengthening our occupational health and safety work and are looking for someone who wants to develop a sustainable, safe, and systematic approach together with the operations. About the Role As an OHS Coordinator with a focus on occupational health and safety, you work both strategically and operatively. You support managers and operations in systematic occupational health and safety work and help translate requirements and procedures into practical methods that work in everyday operations. You will, among other things: • support managers with occupational health and safety matters and processes • participate in and quality assure risk assessments and investigations • follow up on occupational health and safety work, self-inspections, and measures • contribute to the development of procedures, methods, and structures within occupational health and safety • work closely with operations on both operative and preventive matters • educate, guide, and create understanding regarding occupational health and safety issues The role involves many points of contact and great variety. One day you may support a specific occupational health and safety matter in the field, and the next day you may drive development work together with leadership and managers. Qualifications We are looking for someone with relevant higher education of at least three years in occupational health and safety, work science, environment and health, or another field, or experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working with systematic occupational health and safety in a technical, operative, or industrial operation and feel confident interpreting and translating legislation into practical, functioning methods. For the role, you must have: • experience in occupational health and safety work and systematic occupational health and safety work • ability to independently drive and follow up on occupational health and safety matters • experience working closely with managers and operations • strong analytical skills and a structured approach to work • excellent communication skills in Swedish, both verbally and in writing It is meritorious if you have experience from operations, contracting, construction, or project management. As a person, you are confident, driven, and solution-oriented. You have a natural ability to build trust and collaborate with others. At the same time, you are not afraid to challenge and drive matters forward when needed. A B category driver's license is required. The position is security classified and requires a passed security vetting, which includes drug and alcohol testing, a criminal records check with the Security Police, and that you hold Swedish citizenship.
