Classroom Resource with Extra Responsibility for Children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders 50-100%

We are looking for an experienced professional with competence in working with students who have extensive needs for special support. You should be calm, patient, and understand that you must be able to work flexibly and in close proximity to students to achieve desired results. Knowledge of various neurodevelopmental disorders is a prerequisite. The position will start in mid-August. You will work as a classroom resource in either a lower primary class or a middle primary class. You will have special responsibility for individual students with, for example, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism/ADHD. You will be with the students in the classroom during lessons and on the school grounds during breaks. You will both help students during lessons and provide social support during breaks. The position can be combined with some work in after-school activities. More information will be provided at a potential employment interview. Immanuelskolan is a free school located near the center of Borlänge. We have approximately 140 students and strive to have smaller classes with approximately 22-25 students in each class. We want all students to reach their full potential, to learn as much as possible, and for each student to be trained in taking personal responsibility and trusting their own abilities. Christian values are important to us and we constantly work to ensure that the school's climate is permissive and safe. You should be genuinely interested in working with children and young people. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. You may have experience from previous assistant positions or similar work directed toward younger children. Education focused on children with special needs or education in special pedagogy is meritorious. You should be flexible, stress-resistant, solution-focused, and have an easy time making contact and building relationships with other people. An extract from the criminal record register for school/childcare is required. The position will be filled immediately even if the application deadline has not passed as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
