ABOUT THE JOB We are now seeking a classroom assistant for the Educational Center. We are Southern Lapland's leading educational center with a broad range of upper secondary education, ski gymnasium (RIG/NIU), adult education and adapted school for young people and adults. Our vision is to create drive for lifelong learning together – brain with heart! As a classroom assistant in the assistant team, you will provide educational support to the school's students. Your duties include supporting students during the school day, both in groups or individually. You will also work with the assistant team and student welfare to plan schedules for yourself and the assignments you receive. We are looking for someone who is trained as a social pedagogue or has equivalent education/experience that the employer considers equivalent. Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD) is a merit. You will work with students in national programs at upper secondary school. We are looking for a person who puts the student in focus and who feels great commitment to support and guide young people in school. It is important that you have good social skills and conduct yourself well with both students and guardians as well as other professionals at the school.
