Description:

Are you a business-driven Key Account Manager who thrives in complex customer environments? Do you want to work long-term with strategically important industrial customers, where technology, relationships, and business development come together? At SICK, you'll take overall responsibility for a select number of major key accounts within the industry. The role suits you if you're confident in dialogue with both technical and commercial decision-makers and are motivated by developing business over time. About the Role As a Key Account Manager at SICK, you're responsible for developing and driving business with a select number of strategically important customers. You work with established customer relationships where strong business already exists, but where the potential going forward remains significant. Since customers operate in multiple countries, you'll have many international contact points, both at the customer and internally within SICK. You lead dialogues locally and globally and maintain close contact with, for example, product managers, technical specialists, international sales colleagues, and development teams. The role involves travel—both within Sweden and internationally as needed. You combine technical understanding with commercial clarity and drive your work independently with great responsibility for structure, activities, follow-up, and results. Examples of areas of responsibility: • Develop and deepen business with a select number of strategic key customers. • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers, technical functions, and other key contacts at the customer. • Identify and drive new business opportunities within existing accounts. • Coordinate internal and international resources to advance customer projects. • Work closely with product managers, technical specialists, and development functions. • Plan and follow up on activities, pipeline, budget, and customer development. • Participate in customer meetings, technical days, and project meetings in Sweden and internationally. We'd like you to live in Scania or southern Sweden. For the right person, other placements may be possible, but proximity to southern Sweden is a strong advantage. What We Offer At SICK, you'll work in a global, family-owned technology company with high technical expertise, strong innovation capacity, and long-term customer relationships. You'll be part of a KAM team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and accountability are central. The role gives you great freedom to plan your work and the opportunity to influence business at both local and international levels. As part of SICK, you'll get: • Work with technical solutions in industrial automation, sensor technology, and application-focused problem-solving. • Responsibility for strategically important customers with great development potential. • A role with both local customer proximity and international contact points. • Close collaboration with knowledgeable colleagues, specialists, and the product organization. • A culture characterized by freedom with responsibility, open dialogue, and unpretentious collaboration. • Opportunities for continuous skill development in a technology-leading company. About You We're looking for someone who has previously sold technical solutions to industry, for example within automation, sensors, technical components, or production-related solutions. You thrive in complex customer environments where business requires patience, structure, and long-term thinking. At the same time, you have clear drive and don't wait for business to come to you. You take initiative, follow up, build relationships, and drive the process forward. As a person, you're curious, business-minded, and unpretentious. You enjoy collaborating internally and understand the value of using specialists and colleagues to create the best possible solution for the customer. You're structured, self-directed, and confident in planning your work toward long-term goals. To thrive at SICK, we believe you appreciate a role where technology, business, and long-term customer development go hand in hand, and where you take responsibility for driving your business and results forward. Qualifications We're looking for someone with: • Several years of experience in technical B2B sales within, for example, industrial automation, machinery manufacturers/OEM, sensors, technical components, production-related solutions, or sales to the manufacturing industry. • Experience working with larger customers, strategic accounts, or complex customer relationships. • Ability to drive long-term business with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers. • Technical understanding through education and/or practical experience. • Good structure in your sales work, for example related to CRM, pipeline, activity planning, and follow-up. • Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. • B-category driver's license Application Does this sound like your next challenge, or do you know someone in your network who would fit the role?
