About the job as Category Manager
As Category Manager for Fruits and Vegetables, you are responsible for developing a profitable and attractive assortment for your categories based on ICA Sverige's strategies, consumer preferences, and the existing category plan. You stay informed about the latest trends and tendencies in customer preferences for the assortment and contribute to ensuring this knowledge permeates assortment development. As Category Manager, you project lead all product development within your categories, which involves everything from product specifications and product master data to taste and appearance. The role also includes responsibility for new product launches. You will work closely with the Category Director and Buyers, as well as with ICA retailers, store staff, and our suppliers.
The business area Fruits, Vegetables and Flowers is the area within ICA Sverige responsible for delivering world-class fruits and vegetables to our ICA stores. We work seasonally, where no season is like the other, which means we need to be quick-footed and adaptable.
Are you the person we're looking for?
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in product development and who is used to working in teams. You are experienced in working with systems and have a good understanding of processes and structure. It is a merit if you have previously worked in retail and/or in a store, as well as if you have experience working with fruits and vegetables. Packaging knowledge is also a valuable competence. You express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
To succeed in this role, we see that you are a driven and analytical person with an understanding of business and the bigger picture. You have a structured way of working and are driven by seeing results. Since we operate in a seasonal area and in an industry with rapid development, we see that you have an agile approach and enjoy change. It is also important that you collaborate easily with others and have good communication skills.
