Kärraskolan Adapted Elementary School Subject Areas Seeking Student Assistant (Substitute)
Description Kärraskolan is an F-9 school located in central Kärra. It is surrounded by green spaces and has been largely rebuilt over the past few years. Approximately 820 students attend our school, of which 35 are in adapted elementary school. To create a good learning environment, we focus on knowledge, security, and joyful learning. All students should have the opportunity to develop according to their abilities and circumstances. Responsibilities We are now seeking a student assistant who wants to make a difference for our students at Kärraskolan adapted elementary school. This is a monthly substitute position that extends through the end of February 2027. Our students follow the curriculum for subject areas. As a student assistant, you will have varied work in a team with multiple professionals. You will participate in both pedagogical and social settings throughout the school day, including after-school care and LSS. Together with your colleagues, you will create meaningful, joyful, and varied school and leisure time with pedagogical quality and with students in focus. You are an active and important part in shaping and developing our learning environments. Your responsibilities include: Student-focused and modeling work with emphasis on interaction and approach. Support in teaching situations, care, and self-care based on the target group's needs. Active work in developing students' communication through AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and digital tools. Participation in swimming and water activities. Qualifications Formal Qualifications We are looking for someone with at least upper secondary education, preferably with an orientation that has given you knowledge of our target group, such as in disability support, child and youth services, nursing assistant, or similar. You have experience and knowledge of diagnoses within the autism spectrum and intellectual disabilities. You can express yourself clearly in speech and writing, including in contact books between home and school. We also want you to: Have good swimming skills to be able to support students in water environments. Be confident in using digital tools and have knowledge of (or willingness to learn) AAC. It is highly meritorious if you master tactile communication. Have good physical health and mobility as the work is active. Personal Qualifications We are looking for someone who is calm, secure, who sees everyone's differences as an asset, and who is curious about finding solutions to difficulties students may encounter in the learning environment. You have commitment and a good ability to see each student, their possibilities, and needs. To motivate, inspire, and challenge students, we need your ability to show humility, warmth, and set boundaries. You are comfortable acting independently while collaboration with colleagues and guardians is self-evident to you. You have the ability to create and maintain trusting relationships and reflect on ethical and value-based questions.
