We are now looking for you to join our KS Team, which is responsible for our bars and other sales in connection with events at the venue. Our bar operations differ somewhat from other bars. We do not serve advanced cocktails and our bars usually close before midnight. In addition to alcohol, we also sell light food and kiosk items at our bars. Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone who is outgoing and has an easy time making connections with people. Speed, service mindfulness, and personal responsibility are key words. If you can incorporate these into your service and treatment of guests while also keeping the bar and its surroundings organized, we have a match. We do not require bartender training or previous experience, but it is all the more important that you are open to learning on the job and come with curiosity and drive. At Kalmarsalen, we make sure to have fun at work. We also know when it's serious and focus on doing the job together. What the job involves You will help prepare and staff one of our bars in the venue, which are opened in connection with events at the venue. Sometimes it's kiosk sales at children's performances and sometimes a bar with various options. Between events, deliveries need to be unpacked, and after events it's time to tidy everything up, do dishes, and complete cash reconciliation. For nightclub/larger events, glass/dish collection is included. About the employment These are positions on an as-needed basis for individual days per month. There is no fixed percentage—you sign yourself up for shifts in our scheduling system. These positions suit you if you are at least 18 years old and are studying, retired, or have other primary employment but are looking for a side job. Work takes place mainly in the evenings and on weekends; major holidays such as Christmas may also occur. Upon employment, you will receive work clothes and we ensure you receive ongoing training in safety and alcohol handling. These positions have hourly wages according to the HRF collective agreement. About Kalmarsalen Kalmarsalen is centrally located in Kalmar and offers venues for concerts and other events. Our high season is spring and fall, but we also have operations during other parts of the year.
