About the Role
You will be part of the Project Controlling department, which consists of twelve employees distributed across three different roles. The Budget Coordinator role is broad and varied, and you will work in a dynamic environment where many projects run in parallel. You will enter projects in the earliest stages and follow them through the entire implementation until completion. You will contribute your expertise by developing well-founded project budgets. You will have a key function in developing budgeting methodology and enhancing an Excel-based budgeting tool as well as the process for reliable cost estimates that project managers use for budgeting and cost estimation. Together with colleagues, you will ensure that projects have accurate cost assessments that also form the basis for decision-making and deviation management.
Examples of Work Tasks:
Develop budgeting methodology that supports business needs
Update cost templates used by project managers
Drive and/or participate in development activities
Provide support in preparing post-project evaluations
Monitor ongoing projects and ensure accurate budgets
Ad-hoc analyses/tasks
Requirements
To be successful in this role, we see that you are an engaged and curious person who is motivated by achieving results. You enjoy taking personal responsibility and have the ability to independently drive the work forward in the budgeting areas for which you will be responsible. We also see that you thrive with many contact points and working in a team.
You are comfortable working in a changing environment where you drive development within your area of responsibility with ambition to influence and contribute with expertise and your personality. You have a business-minded approach and find it easy to switch between a holistic perspective and detail level. You also have a pedagogical approach and the ability to communicate methodology and results to different types of recipients, which is important for success in the role.
We would like to see that you have:
A degree in engineering or economics
Very strong Excel skills
Experience in project budgeting or similar work tasks
Experience implementing changes in working methods is a merit
Swedish and English, fluently in both speech and writing
