Main duties of the position:
prepare draft legal acts in accordance with regulatory requirements;
develop and prepare internal regulatory acts for the Bāriņtiesa;
ensure compliance with personal data protection in the Bāriņtiesa;
ensure procurement processes in the Bāriņtiesa;
within the scope of competence, prepare draft decisions for the municipal council;
analyze and compile the latest court practice and methodological recommendations from higher-level institutions;
prepare claims and statements for court in general jurisdiction cases, represent the Bāriņtiesa in all court instances on the basis of a power of attorney;
participate in municipal council meetings and committee meetings;
prepare responses to submissions from individuals and legal entities on legally complex matters;
within the scope of competence, cooperate with courts, state and municipal institutions, legal entities, and individuals;
work with databases, systems, and registers necessary for the Bāriņtiesa's operations.
Requirements for candidates:
second-level higher academic education in law or a professional master's degree in law or a professional master's degree in law and a fifth-level professional qualification (jurist);
at least 3 years of practical work experience in a jurist position; work experience in a state or municipal institution on child rights protection matters will be considered an advantage;
knowledge of regulatory acts governing administrative and civil procedure (special knowledge in child rights protection matters);
experience in drafting legal documents;
state language proficiency at the highest level;
ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and control your work;
good skills in using information technology and office equipment;
good communication and cooperation skills, high sense of responsibility, and stress resilience.
