Valkas novada pašvaldība (Reg. No. 90009114839) is seeking a Legal Assistant for the Legal Department (position code 3411 02 per the Occupation Classification). Work location: Beverīnas iela 3, Valka, Valkas novads.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor and control debtor arrears under the department's supervision;
- Manage the municipality's debt collection processes;
- Prepare legal document drafts, including contracts, applications, cover letters, certificates, orders, response letters, and others;
- Perform secretary duties for certain committees established by the municipal council;
- Perform other tasks within your competence as directed by the department head.
Requirements for candidates:
- Higher education, preferably in law;
- Desirable work experience in preparing and drafting legal documents;
- State language proficiency at an advanced level;
- Ability to analyze, argue, and interpret legal norms;
- Strong analytical, organizational, collaboration, and communication skills;
- Ability to work with electronic document management systems;
- High sense of responsibility and accuracy;
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
