Do you want to use your legal expertise to strengthen people's security in an increasingly digital world? At PTS, you work with issues that affect millions of people, from protecting users' rights to the agency's coordinated efforts against fraud in electronic communication services. We offer varied and developing work where you contribute to a safer and more accessible society. We work with what everyone takes for granted. The ability to communicate. With us, you ensure it works now and in the future. For everyone. The department's areas of responsibility include end-users' rights under the Electronic Communications Act and users' right to confidential communication and the ability to control how their data is used. We have a coordinating role regarding the agency's work to prevent fraud with electronic communication services. Additionally, the department monitors and exercises supervision in the financial sector and ensures that credit institutions provide cash services in satisfactory quantities throughout the country in accordance with the Payment Services Act, and handles the agency's promotion work regarding basic payment services. We are also responsible for the agency's external whistleblower function. "My name is Charlotta Garmert, and I lead this department. As a manager, I am unpretentious and value strong teamwork where we achieve our goals together. I am clear and supportive when needed, while freedom within responsibility is a natural part of our way of working. With us, you become part of an inclusive and engaged work environment where we respect each other, have fun together, and care about a good balance between work and leisure." About the role As a lawyer with us, you have a central and varied role where you contribute to both social benefit and strong end-user protection. You work with supervision, legal investigations, and ensure that regulations are applied correctly, while also having the opportunity to influence development in markets characterized by rapid change and technological advancement. In your daily work, you handle and present cases to the appropriate decision-maker, conduct legal investigations, and draft decisions, memoranda, and reports. You participate in—and may also lead—investigations, projects, and inter-agency working groups. The role also includes work with regulations and consultations as well as development of our processes and working methods. You collaborate broadly with both internal and external stakeholders, such as colleagues with different specialist expertise, the Government Offices, other agencies, industry representatives, and international working groups. With us, you become part of an engaged team where we support each other, share knowledge, and together drive development forward. We offer significant independence, good opportunities to develop in the role, and work where your contribution makes a real difference. About you We are looking for someone who is collaboration-oriented and enjoys working with others to achieve common goals. You are structured and work goal-oriented by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work efficiently, with focus on quality and on-time delivery. You are stable and constructive even in pressured situations and handle setbacks and changes in an unpretentious manner. Furthermore, you are solution-oriented, take initiative, and have a flexible and pragmatic approach that allows you to quickly find ways forward when challenges arise. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. We are looking for someone with: A law degree of 270 credits or a law degree (jur.kand.) according to the previous degree regulations. Several years of current professional experience in qualified legal work. Notary certification or equivalent qualified legal work within public administration. Very good communication skills in Swedish and English. It is also a merit if you have: Current professional experience in supervisory work at a government agency. Current professional experience in public administration, such as in-house counsel, investigation work, or regulatory work. Professional experience from the telecom sector or the payments sector. Professional experience in interdisciplinary collaboration (for example, with other professions or areas of expertise). Our offer We take life seriously. With us, you can have a life at and outside work. If you are well, we are well. Therefore, we offer competitive salaries, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to work remotely. We also offer generous wellness benefits and two wellness hours every week. Additionally, you receive favorable terms for lunch, vacation, parental leave, pension, and during illness. Here you will work in modern activity-based offices at Hälsingegatan 38. As a government agency, we offer a safe and stable work environment where you can feel secure. We are creating tomorrow's society and must be at the forefront. With us, you will grow with challenges all the time.
