The General Inheritance Fund was established in 1928 when inheritance rights for cousins ceased. The Inheritance Fund inherits when there are no entitled relatives. The Inheritance Fund's mission is to finance volunteer-run projects for, among others, children and young people, and also contributes to renovation, new construction, and extensions in such activities.
At the Inheritance Unit, 25 lawyers, economists, and administrators currently work. Together with Project Units 1, 2, and 3 as well as the Support and Follow-up Unit, we comprise the Inheritance Fund Department with a total of 75 employees.
Job Description
The main task for lawyers at the Inheritance Unit is, in collaboration with the Inheritance Fund's trustees, to handle matters that arise in the settlement of estates where the Inheritance Fund is an estate co-owner. As a lawyer, you will manage multiple settlement cases in parallel. The matters span large parts of the civil law field, with inheritance law in focus. Your responsibilities also include taking positions on testamentary provisions that exclude the General Inheritance Fund from inheritance.
The position also includes work on developing the business. This can occur within the framework of ongoing projects as well as a recurring element in our work toward continuous improvements.

Are you our new colleague?
We are looking for you who have:
Swedish law degree (juris kandidat) or law degree (180/270 credits)
at least two years of current experience in qualified legal work
relevant experience in economic family law at, for example, a family law firm or law firm

Permanent employment beginning with a six-month probationary period. The position is located in Stockholm, where we are in activity-based offices on Slottsbacken across from the Royal Palace in Gamla Stan.
Start date as soon as possible (by agreement).
