The Legal Department is a national department at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's headquarters. The department is responsible for directing and leading the agency's work on legal matters, providing legal support to all levels of the organization, making decisions and reconsideration decisions in cases concerning convicted persons, and representing the Swedish Prison and Probation Service in legal proceedings. Within the Legal Department is the Government Legal Affairs Unit, which is responsible for operational legal matters. The International Sentence Enforcement Section, which is part of the unit, is now seeking jurists for the position of Legal Corrections Specialist, based at the headquarters in Norrköping. Job Description As a Legal Corrections Specialist at the International Sentence Enforcement Section, you are responsible for handling and making decisions in international sentence enforcement cases. The work includes cases concerning the transfer of sentences to and from other countries as well as international arrest warrants. The role also involves maintaining ongoing contact with, among others, the Ministry of Justice, the Prosecution Authority, the Police Authority, and international cooperation partners, as well as representing the Swedish Prison and Probation Service in court in cases handled by the section. Additionally, you provide legal support to other parts of the organization within the relevant legal areas. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and has good self-awareness. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently and take responsibility for your tasks to move processes forward. In your work, you make sound assessments and prioritizations by weighing complex information together and solving problems.
