About the position Karolinska University Hospital is one of Europe's leading medical institutions and a central part of Region Stockholm with approximately 16,000 employees. Our Legal Unit together with our Data Protection Unit consists of dozens of employees with important support functions and specialist roles that together support the hospital's various departments and functions. As a lawyer at Karolinska University Hospital, you play a crucial role in leading and developing legal support to the hospital's staff. As a lawyer, you will primarily work with healthcare law and municipal and administrative law. Issues within other areas of law may also be relevant, such as public access to information and confidentiality, discrimination law, and archival matters. The work is characterized by many points of contact within Karolinska University Hospital and the entire Region Stockholm. Qualifications Requirements: - Lawyer (jur. kand./law degree) - Several years of experience with qualified legal work within healthcare law (for example, the Health and Medical Services Act, the Patient Data Act, and the Patients Act) - Experience with qualified legal work within municipal and administrative law (including public access to information and confidentiality) Merits: - Experience from legal work in a region, municipality, or other authority - Experience from the healthcare sector - Teaching experience - Notary certification - Experience working in a large organization with understanding of complex decision-making processes About the recruitment process Selection and interviews may take place on an ongoing basis during the application period.
