The Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) is now seeking a jurist with several years of experience in qualified contracts, preferably within the preparedness sector. About the position We are looking to strengthen our team with a skilled and ambitious jurist with experience in drafting contracts in an administrative law context. The role involves working with strategic and complex matters related to crisis preparedness and civil defense. Primarily focused on supply chain preparedness. You will work both operatively and strategically, with responsibility for both individual legal matters and development of relevant legal areas. Typical tasks include: Drafting, negotiating and revising, for example, framework agreements and other complex contracts with Swedish and international partners Providing legal support on matters concerning society's crisis preparedness and civil defense, primarily related to supply chain preparedness Collaborating with the agency's procurement unit when procurement and business contracts become relevant Supporting the agency in negotiations with external stakeholders Contributing to strategic development of legal areas within crisis preparedness and civil defense, particularly regarding supply chain preparedness Conducting environmental monitoring and identifying the need for legal measures as new assignments and changed threat assessments emerge The work is multidisciplinary and several different legal areas are often involved in the same assignment. The role also involves close collaboration with operations within the agency's department for crisis preparedness and civil defense and is part of the National Board of Health and Welfare's long-term work to develop legal support in this area. About you To succeed in this role, you need to be analytical, solution-oriented and have a very strong ability to translate law into practically implementable solutions. You have high integrity, excellent collaboration skills and thrive in complex environments with a fast pace and significant societal value. We are looking for someone who has: Law degree (jur.kand. or equivalent) Several years of experience in qualified legal work Very good knowledge of contract law Good understanding of public procurement Experience independently writing and negotiating qualified contracts with external parties in Swedish and English Very strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English It is particularly meritorious if you have: Experience from a law firm or agency in complex contract negotiations Experience with state aid law matters Experience with matters related to crisis preparedness and civil defense including supply chain preparedness Knowledge of and experience with the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act and the Security Protection Act We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Good to know The position is a permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Your job title will be Jurist and your placement is in the Legal Department at the National Board of Health and Welfare's office at Västerbroplan in Stockholm. In spring 2027, we will move to new premises in Solna Strand. The position is classified as a security position and a security clearance with background check will be conducted before an employment decision is made.
