Östgöta Begravningsbyrå is a locally anchored and personally managed funeral home with operations in Norrköping, Finspång, Söderköping, and Valdemarsvik. The firm was founded in 2002 and has been managed by Fredrik Blomberg since 2013. Today, the organization consists of six employees who together help people through one of life's most difficult periods. For us, personal contact is crucial, and we want each meeting with us to be characterized by security, warmth, and care. A visit to us should feel like coming home to a good friend. We are an authorized funeral home and member of Sweden's authorized lawyer and funeral home associations.
Your Role
We are now seeking a lawyer or authorized estate administrator who wants to be part of developing our growing legal services together with our experienced estate administrator. Our legal services have grown significantly in recent years, and we now see a need to strengthen the operation with additional expertise. The role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of legal work within a stable and well-reputed organization with strong local roots.
In this role, you will primarily work with estate inventories, inheritance settlements, and administration of deceased estates, but also with power of attorney for future care, gift deeds, wills, and marital agreements. You will meet relatives in sensitive situations and help them through legal processes with professionalism, clarity, and empathy. The work involves many external contacts, and you will also build and develop collaborations with, for example, real estate agents, auction houses, and other local actors. Over time, there are also opportunities to further develop the legal services through networking and lectures in family law.
About You
We are looking for someone who holds a law degree or is an authorized estate administrator and has at least five years of experience with estate inventories, inheritance settlements, and deceased estate administration. You are confident in your legal expertise but at the same time warm, unpretentious, and responsive in your interactions with people. We believe you are a person who communicates clearly and trustworthily, works carefully and independently, and has the ability to create calm and security even in emotionally demanding situations. We value a good view of human nature and are looking for someone who meets all people with respect and care, regardless of background or life situation.
You need to have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as a B driver's license and access to a car. Good computer skills are important, and experience with systems such as Wolters Kluwer, Arkivia, or Hilja is a merit, as is knowledge of English.
