You will be required to undertake and perform the following main duties and be responsible for their performance: initial evaluation of planned support program projects and preparation of opinions from the perspective of business support control; ensuring information flow between the European Commission and responsible Latvian institutions on matters related to support programs submitted by Latvian institutions and financed from EU funds and other foreign financing; representation of the department and ministry in meetings and commissions. To successfully begin performing the duties of the vacant position, you must meet the following requirements: academic higher or professional higher education in legal sciences, at least 2 years of experience in positions corresponding to legal sciences specialization, preferably at least 2 years of experience working in state administration in the last 5 years, understanding of state administration processes and desirable knowledge of the business support control field, excellent knowledge of the Latvian language, good knowledge of English in writing and speaking (the work process requires working with documents in English), good computer skills (including MS Excel proficiency), analytical and conceptual thinking, ability to work under conditions of increased intensity, ability to set priorities, compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law.
