We are now seeking a junior technician to join a dedicated team in Norrbotten. The role offers varied and independent work where you'll help ensure that vital communication systems operate around the clock.
The work is primarily performed in the field and includes maintenance, service, and troubleshooting of technical systems in a railway environment. You'll be part of an experienced team where camaraderie, collaboration, and responsibility are a natural part of everyday work.
In this role, you work with operation, maintenance, and development of communication solutions linked to critical infrastructure. You receive work orders from planners or project managers and are responsible for carrying out the work safely, professionally, and with high quality.
Your tasks include, among others:
Troubleshooting and repair of communication systems
Service and preventive maintenance
Installation and replacement of copper and fiber cables
Working both independently and with colleagues
Contact with customers and contractors
On-call/standby duty according to rotating schedule
Response to operational disruptions and urgent events

Requirements:
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
High school education or equivalent
It is a merit if you have:
Experience in telecommunications, fiber, or electrical engineering
Experience from the railway, construction, or infrastructure sector
Knowledge of networks, fiber, or communication systems
Work with troubleshooting and technical maintenance
You will initially be employed by StudentConsulting and work as a consultant at Eltel. There are opportunities to continue employment directly with Eltel if it feels right for all parties after a period as a consultant with us.
